Caitin Clarke Memorial Set for Oct. 18

A public memorial to honor the life and work of actress Caitlin Clarke, who died on Sept. 9 following a long struggle with ovarian cancer, will be held at The Flea Theater, 41 White St., on Mon., Oct. 18.

On Broadway, Clarke appeared in five productions: "Titanic," the Circle in the Square productions of "The Marriage of Figaro" (which starred Christopher Reeve) and "Arms and the Man," the Glenda Jackson-starring revival of "Strange Interlude," and "Teaneck Tanzi: The Venue Flytrap."

Off-Broadway, "Kate," as she was known, appeared in such productions as "Quartermaine's Terms" and "Unexpected Tenderness." She also worked extensively in regional theatres, appearing in productions at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago and the GeVa Theatre Rochester, to name a few.

Contributions to a memorial fund in her name may be sent to Pittsburgh Musical Theater, 327 S. Main St., Pittsburgh, PA, 15220.
