Love ‘Harry Potter’? Apply to These Gigs

Harry Potter” fans, mark your calendars. Last month, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav confirmed a 2026 release date for the television adaptation of the J.K. Rowling novels. But if you can’t wait that long for the new “Harry Potter” series or your fantasy fix, audition instead for these gigs looking for talent right now.

“Modish Elves”

A nonunion fantasy scripted show is casting for its upcoming shoot in Boston, Cape Cod, Maine, and New Hampshire. Production is filling multiple roles, including a lead male actor, aged 60 and older, to play Professor Heaps, a supporting female actor, aged 70 and older, to play Old Lady, and a supporting male actor, aged 30–60, to play Bartender. All listed roles pay $150–$300 per day for an estimated four days of work. Please note that all listed roles require improvisation acting techniques.

“The Studio Ghost”

A student film about a student who crosses paths with a ghostlike mysterious woman is casting for its March 25 and March 27 shoot in New York. Production seeks a lead male actor, aged 18–23, to play Fizz and a lead female actor, aged 18–23, to play The Ghost. Both roles pay a flat rate of $100 for an estimated eight hours of work.

“The Lost Healer”

A short film about a princess on a quest to save her kingdom is casting for its summer shoot in Louisville, Kentucky. Production seeks a lead female actor, aged 18–25, to play Kiva, a lead male actor, aged 18–25, to play Rian, a supporting male actor, aged 18–25, to play Arran, and a supporting male actor, aged 40–55, to play General Graeme. The role of Kiva pays $250 per day for an estimated three days of work. The role of Rian pays $250 per day for an estimated two days of work. The roles of Arran and General Graeme pay $250 per day for an estimated single day of work. Please note that the roles of Kiva and Rian require Dublin accent skills.

“Elliot”

A student film about a college student with reality-warping abilities is casting for its upcoming shoot in Syracuse, New York. Production seeks a supporting female actor, aged 18–23, to play Ali and a supporting female actor, aged 30 and older, to play Auntie. The role of Ali pays a flat rate of $350 for an estimated two days of work. The role of Auntie pays a flat rate of $160 for an estimated single day of work.

A short film about a sorceress on the run is casting for its upcoming shoot in Sacramento and San Francisco. Production seeks a lead female actor, aged 23–30, to play Abigail. The role pays $200 per day for an estimated three days of work.
