There are plenty of ways to get Hollywood’s awards voters to notice a project. But hiring Meryl Streep may be the most sure-fire ticket to the Oscars.

Steven Soderbergh has cast the three-time Academy Award winner in Netflix’s upcoming dramatization of the Panama Papers, the infamous leak of sensitive information regarding shady, offshore business dealings that implicated some of the world’s wealthiest people. Streep plays a widow investigating an insurance fraud, chasing leads all the way to two Panama City law partners. In case that doesn’t sound like enough of an awards contender, those two goons are played by Gary Oldman and Antonio Banderas.

Check out the new trailer below for “The Laundromat,” which will debut at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival before Netflix rolls out a Sept. 27 theatrical and Oct. 18 streaming release.
