Now Casting: Play Evan Hansen in the Toronto Production of ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ + 3 More Gigs

Dear actors, today is going to be a good day, and here’s why: the Toronto production of the hit musical “Dear Evan Hansen” is now casting its Evan Hansen and more roles. Plus, Chicago Shakespeare Theater is casting its winter production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” a music video is seeking actors to play hitchhikers, and a dance-inspired music video needs carnival performers and more.

“DEAR EVAN HANSEN,” TORONTO PRODUCTION
Casting is now underway for the upcoming Toronto production of the Tony Award-winning musical “Dear Evan Hansen.” A male actor, aged 17 or older, is wanted to play the lead role of Evan Hansen. There is also a role for a female actor of the same age to play Alana Beck. There will be an open casting call on Aug. 25 in Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Quebec. Production will begin in 2019 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, Ontario. Professional pay will be provided. Apply here!

“A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM”
Chicago Shakespeare Theater is casting its upcoming production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Equity actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted to play the roles of Hippolyta and Titania, Puck and Philostrate, and Hermia. There will be an audition by appointment on Sept. 10 in New York City. Rehearsals will begin on Nov. 5 and previews begin on Dec. 6. The production will run from Dec. 14–Jan. 27, 2019, with a possible extension through Feb. 27, in Chicago, Illinois. Pay is $913 per week. Apply here!

“CAN’T HELP IT”
“Can’t Help It,” a music video for E-stro and Mykal inspired by “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” is casting supporting roles. Two actors, aged 18–30, are wanted to play hitchhikers in the video. Prior experience in music videos is a plus. The video will shoot on Sept. 8 in Palmdale, California. Pay is $121 for 10 hours of work. Apply here!

“ZINDAGI”
Join “Zindagi,” a Latin-jazz dance-centered music video for singer Rahat Ali Fateh Khan. Talent, aged 18–35, is wanted for a variety of roles, including carnival, cabaret, circus, burlesque, and magic performers. The video will shoot on Sept. 5 in Los Angeles. Pay is $500 per day. Apply here!
