Saoirse Ronan follows up her Academy Award-nominated role in last year’s “Lady Bird” with a vastly different gig. Tackling the titular monarch in “Mary Queen of Scots,” she’ll find a worthy sparring opponent in fellow 2018 Oscar contender Margot Robbie, portraying her friend-turned-rival, Queen Elizabeth I.
