Love Spider-Man? Apply to These Superhero Projects

Calling all superhero fans! The new Spider-Man movie, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” officially hit the big screens this year—giving fans more Peter Parker (and, of course, Tom Holland and Zendaya) to indulge. Along with this exciting new flick, Tobey Maguire’s “Spider-Man” turns 20 on May 3. Therefore, we found it fitting to round up some of our favorite Spider-Man-themed or superhero gigs to celebrate. If you’ve always wanted to appear in a movie like “Spider-Man,” here are some of our favorite gigs. 

“Batman” 

This fan-made film takes a new approach to the legendary Batman character. Available parts include a male performer, aged 28–55, another male performer, aged 30–48, a female performer, aged 18–35, and more. The project films early mornings and late nights in California. Pay is $50–$75 per day, depending on the role.

“News of the World”

Hofstra University is casting for “News of the World,” an advanced scene study adaptation loosely based on the comic series "Watchmen." They are looking to cast their two leads. Production wants male talent, aged 16–21. Shooting is TBD in the Hempstead area of Long Island. This is an unpaid project.

BIPOC Party Character Performers

The Pure Imagination Party Company is looking for character performers for children’s parties. They are looking to cast roles for a variety of costumes, including Black Panther, Princess Jasmine, and characters from “Encanto.” Production wants talent, aged 18–40. Work dates are TBD but will be in Orange, California. This project pays $50—$60 per hour.

“Solitary Confinement”

2 Peas & A Roc company needs talent for a new superhero-themed video project. The story follows PT, an inmate in a maximum-security prison who tries her best to hide her dangerous gift. Production wants female talent, aged 22–50. Shoot dates are TBD but will be in the NYC area. Pay is professional.

“Black Girl Superhero”

Casting is underway for "Black Girl Superhero," a short action film that empowers African women and those who love them. They are seeking female talent, agesd18 and up. Shooting is ongoing in the American Southeast. This project pays a stipend of $60–$200

Fairytale Entertainment company is seeking to hire acrobatic actors and performers for superhero gigs. They are seeking male talent, aged 17–26. Training is available upon casting. They are seeking talent from the American midwest. Pay is $55–$75.

Blue Balloon Parties, Kids' Party Entertainers

Kid’s entertainer Rachel Pina is seeking kids' party entertainers. They are looking to hire performers, aged 18 and older, to play a variety of famous characters. Training will be in-person and on Zoom with work on the weekends. They are seeking talent from Astoria, New York. This project pays $150–$400 per weekend.
