“SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING”
Marvel Studios, led in this case by director Jon Watts and casting director Tammy Smith, are looking for background actors who can pass for high school students for the forthcoming “Spider-Man” reboot. Shooting takes place June 20–July 1 in Atlanta, where “Captain America: Civil War” and “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2” were also filmed. Get in on the superhero action!
JEEP/CHRYSLER COMMERCIAL
If you’re both a mother and a working actor—and are open to bringing your child onto a film set—this is the gig for you. NBCUniversal needs a real mom for some golfing and rock climbing activities as part of a Jeep and Chrysler commercial. This gig pays $750 a day and shoots May 19–20 in New York City.
“THE JESTER”
Plenty of roles are now available for this NYC-based short film from producer Aidan Bose-Rosling. Centered on “an adolescent’s dark path towards suicide, after he is expelled from school for a performance stunt,” the project shoots in June. Check out the casting notice for more information on the roles, including sides!
“THE MAIDS”
Outliers Theatre Co. and its artistic director Ben Gunderson are looking to cast all three female roles in Jean Genet’s classic absurdist drama “The Maids.” This Equity showcase will begin rehearsing on June 27 and is scheduled to run July 27–Aug. 7 in NYC.
