The musical and popular sensation “Hamilton” is casting male and female talent for ensemble roles. The production is casting for the production currently running on Broadway. Cast members are also needed for the Angelica Tour currently underway.
“Hamilton,” with music, lyrics, and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda, has become a mega-hit, with 11 Tony wins and widespread recognition in popular culture. The musical blends traditional show tunes with hip-hop and R&B to tell the story of Alexander Hamilton and his relationship with the Founding Fathers and the beginning of the United States of America.
The production is seeking male and female actors, aged 19–34, to join the ensemble. Actors of color are strongly encouraged to apply. All performers should be amazing dancers, with versatility in all forms of contemporary dance. Strong singing skills are necessary, as is the ability to portray multiple characters throughout the show. Ensemble members will potentially be considered to understudy principal roles.
As the show is currently running on Broadway, work begins immediately. An Equity Chorus Call is taking place in New York City on Sept. 6. Actors cast will be signed to an Equity Production (League) Contract. Compensation will be a minimum of $2,034 per week.
