Now Casting: Get Paid to Eat Pizza + 3 More Acting Gigs

Today’s casting roundup features a baseball-themed pizza commercial—talk about a home run! There are also opportunities for a new Amazon TV series, a student short film, and traveling entertainment shows.

PIZZA COMMERCIAL
Casting is underway for a popular pizza company commercial featuring a named sports figure. Experienced male actors aged 7–11 are sought for baseball players on a local team. Each will have at least one speaking line. Talent must be “very strong actors…and be able to interact professionally” with the professional athlete. There are also two additional roles for male talent aged 30–55 and one background role, female talent ages 30–50. The commercial shoots June 13 in Washington, D.C. and will pay $250–400 a day, depending on the role.

"LIMBO"
“Limbo,” a short student film about an artist who goes to extreme measures to restore passion to his art, is looking to cast its lead and supporting roles. A male actor and a female actor, both ages 22–30, are needed for leads. A male actor ages 23–35 is also needed for a supporting role. The film shoots July 5–7 in Burbank, California and pays $100 per day for lead and $50 per day for supporting.

CHILDREN’S ENTERTAINMENT SHOWS
Professional Kids Productions is casting lead performer roles for live traveling kids' entertainment shows. The company is seeking male and female talent aged 18–26, with a preference for those with driver’s licenses. Rehearsal and training is Mondays and Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with weekend shows in Long Island and New York. Pay is $25 an hour for weekend shows. Training is unpaid, but a travel reimbursement is provided.

"ELECTRIC DREAMS"
The upcoming Bryan Cranston-produced Amazon TV series “Electric Dreams,” based on the science fiction short stories of Philip K. Dick,” is looking to fill background roles. Male and female talent aged 18–70 are needed to play blue collar apocalypse survivors. The production shoots June 14–29 in Chicago, Joliet, and Calumet, Illinois, with fitting on June 7. Pay is $84 for eight hours. Fitting will pay $25 for two hours.
