Young Vic musical

CD Natalie Gallacher (Pippa Ailion) is casting a company of musical theatre performers for a new production at the prestigious Young Vic Theatre. The project has two roles open; one for a Black South African woman, playing age 20–40, and a strong Soprano (up to G5) with experience of vocal harmony work. And one Black South African Man, playing age 20–40, and a Tenor (up to C4). The musical rehearses for six weeks in October, and runs until 4 February.

Ukraine response drama 

The British Filmmakers Alliance is producing a response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with all profits going towards humanitarian relief in the country. Called Thin, Brittle, Mile this poignant narrative drama is seeking actors, playing ages 18+, and all ethnicities for a large mix of lead and supporting roles. The project shoots between 23 April until 2 May in London and roles are paid professionally.

Commercial seeking actors/comedians with children 

Casting director Emma Crompton is seeking actors and comedians with partners and children to appear in an online video for Channel 4 and Volkswagen. The short will follow what happens when the children get to take charge for 24 hours. Roles are for a real family of any gender and any ethnicity. Parents would need to be outgoing and fun, ideally with two children who would love to make their parents say ‘yes’ to everything. The project pays £2,500 for a two day shoot.

Wind in the Willows musical 

A musical of Roger McGough's take on The Wind in the Willows is casting in London for an energetic and versatile six-strong cast. All roles are open to actor-singers of any ethnicity. Lavender Mole is female, gender nonconforming, and playing age 18–40. Mr Toad is male, gender nonconforming, and playing age 22–80. Stan Stoat/Lord Winkle/Chorus is male, gender nonconforming, and playing age 18+. A multi-rolling ensemble member, ideally with dance, circus, acrobatics, and variety skills. Walter Rat/Chorus is any gender, playing age 18–60. Lady Winkle/Francesca Weasel is any gender, playing age 18–80. Rehearsals are in Barnes and the show opens 31 May for eight performances. Roles are paid a guaranteed fee of £500, with the aim to pay more once funding is secured.
