NYC Now Casting: Play a Saul Goodman-Type Lawyer in an iPhone App Commercial + 2 More Gigs

In today’s NYC roundup, the company behind an iPhone app is seeking a male actor to play a Saul Goodman type in an upcoming commercial. You can also find roles in a short skit comedy seeking trans actors, and the lead role in the next episode of a true crime reenactment series.

The company behind an iPhone app is currently casting actors for “Will Sam Win It?” a commercial featuring a shady lawyer a la Saul Goodman in “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul.” A male actor, aged 45–65, is sought to play the lead role of Sam Sherman. There is also a one-liner role for a female actor, aged 45–75, as Janice, Sam’s assistant. The shoot will take place on Dec. 15 or 16. “Birthday Roast,” a one-day skit comedy with lunch theater style, is currently seeking talented actors. A transgender male actor, aged 18–40, is wanted to play the lead girlfriend role. Talent must have had top surgery. There is an additional lead role for a female actor, aged 40–50, to play the high school sweetheart. The production will shoot Dec. 20 over three hours in New York City. Pay is $300 with meals and drinks provided. Apply here!

Casting is underway for episode 110 of the true crime reenactment series “Evil Talks.” A male actor, aged 35–45, is wanted to play the lead role of Detective Spivel. Talent with stereotypical cop stature (6’–6’2”, clean shaven, shaved head) is wanted for the role. The production shoots the week of Dec. 14 in NYC. Pay is $154 for 12 hours of work. Apply here!
