Here’s everything we know about this upcoming project.

“The Golden Spoon” is Hulu’s Newest Murder Mystery Series

A mystery is afoot at Hulu. First reported by Deadline, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna is now developing “The Golden Spoon” for the streamer. Described as “a darkly comic murder mystery limited series” based on the upcoming novel of the same name by Jessica Olien, “The Golden Spoon” is set “in the idyllic world of TV baking competitions [and] tells the story behind the scenes of everyone’s favorite comfort show— a story of feuding hosts, sabotaged recipes, and the hapless contestants who must solve the crime before it’s too late.” The new series is part of Brosh McKenna’s deal with ABC Signature via her Lean Machine banner, and she will serve as showrunner and executive produce. Since “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” she has been busy on several other projects, including her first feature film “Your Place or Mine” and, as we previously reported, a new collaboration with Rachel Bloom under her Signature Deal entitled “Badass (And Her Sister).”
