“Mar”
Join the cast of “Mar,” a mermaid horror folklore short film. Two Latina actors, aged 18–45, are sought for the starring role of Mar and the supporting role of her older but ageless sister, Gianira. The actor playing Mar must be comfortable working on a closed set with partial nudity and be a strong swimmer. Talent will work in Leo Cabrillo State Park, Ojai, and Modesto, California, on Dec. 13–18. Supporting talent will be paid $150 per day, and lead talent will be paid $250 per day with food, gas, lodging, and credit provided.

“The Expo”
“The Expo,” a feature-length supernatural horror/action thriller, is casting Canadian female actors, aged 18–30, for principal and supporting roles. Talent will work in Toronto on Nov. 2–9. Pay is $1,500 flat.

“Neon Chances”
Casting is underway for “Neon Chances,” a surreal student horror film following a strict paranormal researcher and a free-spirited homeless beach girl whose psyches become mysteriously entangled and must free themselves from a terrifying entity. A female actor, age 21–32, is sought to play the co-lead of Amelia. Talent will work in Morro Bay, California, on Nov. 16–Dec. 5. Pay is $1,500.

“Invasion of the Bee Women”
Sockbox Studios is currently casting “Invasion of the Bee Women,” a drama-horror film following a detective who finds herself obsessed with a case involving dead men and missing appendages. Oregon-based actors, aged 18–50, are sought for several roles in the project, including the protagonist, Detective Susan Harris. Talent will work in Portland in October 2027. Pay is $16.50 to $18 per hour (up to $3,200 total).

“Death At Blackwater Lake”
Join the cast of “Death At Blackwater Lake,” a dark comedy-horror homage to classic slasher grindhouse film that follows a group of college graduates who throw a party at their relatives’ secluded lake house and unwittingly awaken a supernatural evil. U.S.-based actors, aged 18 and older, are sought for various roles, including leads. Talent will work in Jaffrey, New Hampshire, in August and September 2027. Pay is $100 per day for up to 21 days of work, with travel and lodging included.

“Body Count”
Casting is underway for “Body Count,” a short horror film about a red-pill-influenced young man whose sabotage of a first date leads to an encounter with a mysterious beauty who offers him everything he desires under a deadly condition. Actors, aged 20–29, are sought for the lead male role and two supporting female roles. Talent will work in Tucson, Arizona, in February 2027. Pay is $210 to $300 per day with lunch covered.

“Crystal”
Pirate Films Media is currently seeking talent for “Crystal,” a psychological horror feature. U.S.-based actors, aged 25–50, are sought for lead and supporting roles, including the titular Crystal, a mother rebuilding her life a year after a violent attack. Talent will work in December and January with locations TBD. Pay is $257 per day for up to 12 days of work with meals, travel, and per diem provided.

Casting is underway for “The Owl,” a short narrative psychological horror/uncanny thriller about a woman driving north on a freezing New England night to commit a calculated act of violence while her 19-year-old sister pursues her. East Coast actors, aged 18 and older, are sought for several on-camera and voiceover roles, including the lead role of Lily. Principal photography is targeted for Summer 2027 in Somerville, Lowell, and the Greater Boston, Massachusetts, area.
