Netflix’s smash-hit live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s legendary manga, “One Piece,” is making a grand return. Season 2 officially sets sail on March 10, with all eight episodes dropping at once. To kick off the voyage, Netflix is hosting special big-screen events, premiering the first two episodes in over 200 theaters across the U.S., Canada, and Japan.
After a record-breaking first season that captivated fans and critics alike, the new installment, titled “One Piece: Into the Grand Line,” reunites the Straw Hat crew for their most perilous journey yet. With the series already greenlit for Season 3, the momentum shows no signs of slowing down.

“One Piece” is a high-seas adventure that follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), a spirited young man with rubber body powers, on his quest to find the legendary One Piece treasure and become King of the Pirates.
Set in a world of vast oceans and mystical Devil Fruits that grant superpowers, Luffy recruits a diverse crew known as the Straw Hat Pirates. Together, they sail across the dangerous Grand Line, liberate islands from tyrants, and clash with powerful rivals and the oppressive World Government.
Steven Maeda and Matt Owens developed the series for Netflix and served as writers, executive producers, and co-showrunners for Season 1. Joe Tracz took on the role of co-showrunner with Owens on Season 2.

“One Piece” Season 3 is currently in production in Cape Town, South Africa. Production began in late 2025. According to Variety, Season 3 will focus on the Alabasta Saga.
