Lionsgate Television and MGM+ are reimagining the classic story of “Robin Hood” with a new historical drama premiering Nov. 2 on the streamer. The 10-episode first season comes from showrunner John Glenn (“SEAL Team”), writer-director Jonathan English (“The Ark”), and producer Todd Lieberman (“The Fighter”). Newcomer Jack Patten (“NCIS: Sydney”) stars in the iconic role of Robin Hood, opposite Lauren McQueen (“Outlander: Blood of My Blood”) as Marian and Sean Bean (“Game of Thrones”) as the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Set in 11th-century England, the historical drama centers on the conflict between the Saxons and the Norman conquerors. After witnessing his father’s execution by Norman forces, Saxon Robin “Rob” Hood (Patten) swears to get his revenge. He joins forces with a band of outlaw rebels who are just as determined to overthrow their Norman invaders. In the midst of the rebellion, Rob falls in love with Marian (McQueen), the daughter of a Norman lord. Choosing to risk everything for love, she infiltrates the Norman royal court and works secretly with Rob to bring peace back to England.
