L.A. Now Casting: ‘Big Fish’ Open Call and More

The wrenching “Big Fish” musical, based on the film of the same name and which bowed on Broadway in 2013, will hold an upcoming open call for several nonunion actors.

The piece, “about fathers, sons, and the stories that we use to define our identities,” is casting two male actors for the leading roles of Edward and Will Bloom, as well as talent to portray roles including Sandra Bloom, Josephine Bloom, Karl, the Giant and more.

Featuring a score by Andrew Lippa and a book by John August, the musical will hold an open casting call Jan. 14–16, 2017 at the Westchester Playhouse in Los Angeles. The L.A. production is scheduled to run March 17–April 22, 2017.
