“The Tiger Rising”
The Queen—Latifah, that is—has arrived in the Peach State for filming on her next big project. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the new film, “The Tiger Rising,” starring Latifah and Dennis Quaid, will be shooting in various areas in Thomasville and Tifton, approximately three hours from the metro Atlanta area. The film, an adaptation of Kate DiCamillo’s best-selling children’s book, will also star Madalen Mills, Katharine McPhee, Christian Convery, Sam Trammell, and Nicholas Ryan Hernandez. Ray Giarratana will direct from his own screenplay. Filming on the project began last week and is scheduled to go until Dec. 20. Kerry Barden and Paul Schnee is the film’s casting team.
