Casting is underway for the upcoming Lincoln Center Theater Broadway revival of Rodger and Hammerstein’s classic musical “The Sound of Music,” starring Jasmine Amy Rogers. Production is seeking Equity actors, aged 7 and older, for principal and chorus roles, including Captain Von Trapp, the Von Trapp children, and more. There will be an Equity chorus call on Aug. 24 and Equity principal auditions on Aug. 26. Rehearsals will begin on Feb. 1, 2027, followed by performances at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on March 23–July 18.

25 Casting is seeking New York City-based talent, aged 35–79, for background roles in “Six Avenue Saints,” a 1990s-set feature film written and directed by Julia Fox. Work dates are TBD. Pay is $20 per hour for a guaranteed minimum of $100.

“When the Dream Goes Sideways,” a feature film that alternates between two parallel timelines set three years apart, is seeking a female actor, age 22–32, to play one of the two female leads in interwoven timelines. Talent must be comfortable with outdoor recreation and water-based activity. Talent will work in NYC, dates TBD. Pay is $3,840 for 24 days of work with food, private lodging, travel, and additional expenses provided.

“Common Unhappiness”
Casting is underway for “Common Unhappiness,” an indie feature about a young Brooklyn piano teacher whose carefully balanced life begins to unravel after receiving a one-star review. NYC-based actors, aged 25–65, are sought for lead and supporting roles, including the starring role of Lyla. Filming will take place in Brooklyn between Oct. 14 and 31. Pay is $250 per day for up to 10 days of work, with meals and limited lodging provided.
