“The Handmaid’s Tale”
The lines of horror and reality are feeling a little blurred these days. Case in point: the hit dystopian Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale” is out filming in Washington D.C. today. ABC reporter Sam Sweeney posted a poetic shot on Twitter of a couple dozen handmaids on the National Mall this morning as the series films for its third season. Circa also got the behind-the-scenes tour of production while it’s in the nation’s capital. The Elisabeth Moss starrer typically films in Ontario, where it is also filming today at the former Eastmount Park School in Hamilton with a cast of about 80 actors, so the production is clearly expanding this year. Veteran casting director Sherry Thomas cast the series that also stars Yvonne Strahovski, Joseph Fiennes, and Max Minghella.
