“Lizzie McGuire”
The rain is officially falling down in NYC as filming for the “Lizzie McGuire” revival started yesterday in NYC’s Washington Square Park! Series star Hilary Duff marked the occasion with an Instagram post captioned “Happy first LIZZIE day!!!!! NYC.....cue the rain,” and Disney+’s Twitter account also shared an exclusive photo of filming. The new series sees the return of Duff as the eponymous McGuire, who is now navigating life in NYC as a 30-year-old millennial, engaged to a restaurant owner, and is working as an apprentice to a fancy decorator. Robert Carradine, Jake Thomas, and Hallie Todd are all returning for the revival, with Federico Dordei also joining the cast. The new series will air on Disney+ in 2020. Original series creator Terri Minsky is the showrunner. Aufiero/Horn is casting the project. Production will also take place in Los Angeles, so be sure to watch both NYC and L.A. notices for future opportunities to appear on the show!
