Christina Ricci Will Be a Series Regular in Netflix’s “Wednesday”
According to Deadline, Christina Ricci has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Netflix series “Wednesday.” The former Wednesday Addams portrayer will, per Deadline, be a major part of the new live-action Tim Burton series. Her character details are currently being kept under wraps, but we do know that she will be playing a new character and not a version of Wednesday. “Wednesday,” written by “Smallville” creators Al Gough and Miles Millar and directed by Burton, follows Wednesday during her years at Nevermore Academy in what is being described as “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery.” As we previously reported, Jenna Ortega will lead the series, with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán playing Morticia and Gomez, respectively. George Burcea, Isaac Ordonez, Victor Dorobantu, Jamie McShane, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Gwendoline Christie, and others. Filming is currently in progress and is set to wrap up in Romania at the end of the month. Sophie Holland and John Papsidera are the series casting directors.
