John Krasinski’s “A Quiet Place” franchise is expanding. Another installment of the hit thriller is currently in development with a release date expected in 2025. Here’s everything we know so far about this new project.

Another “A Quiet Place” Film Is in Development

According to John Krasinski, a third installment of the ongoing storyline of “A Quiet Place” is now in the works. Krasinski announced the exciting news during the ViacomCBS Investor Day, per Deadline. The project is expected to arrive in theaters in 2025—and shouldn’t be confused with the previously announced spin-off, “A Quiet Place: Part III.” That project, which is also based on an idea from Krasinski, is still set to release on Sept. 22, 2023, and is being directed by “Pig” helmer Michael Sarnoski, per Hollywood Reporter.

As for the newly announced and newly-in-development “A Quiet Place III,” Krasinski revealed that the project will be produced via his Sunday Night banner along with Platinum Dunes. It’s unclear if Krasinski will return to direct as he did for the previous two installments, but once the film is given the official go-ahead, expect Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and likely Krasinski in some capacity to return in front of the camera. Laura Rosenthal was the casting director behind the first two installments (it’s unclear if she is also helming the casting for the spinoff film).
