Kids Now Casting: ‘The Deuce’ on HBO Needs Babies and Bodyguards for Background Roles + More

Get them started young with a role on a major network show.

Join the cast of HBO’s hit 1970s-set series “The Deuce,” starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

Twins or individual African-American or mixed race babies, aged 2–3, are wanted to portray the daughter of the principal characters on the series. Submissions from any gender will be accepted, but the talent will be portraying a female character. All minors must have a valid child performer work permit and trust account.

There is also a featured role for an actor, aged 25–56, to play a bodyguard. The actor must not have any visible tattoos, have period-appropriate hair, and be comfortable working around atmospheric smoke.

The series will shoot in the New York City area between Aug. 6–22. The actor playing the bodyguard will have an interview date the week of July 30. The SAG-AFTRA Background rate will be applied to union members.
