Expectations are on the rise at FX and BBC where the two networks have just announced the cast for their upcoming adaptation of “Great Expectations.” According to several outlets, Olivia Colman, Matt Berry, and more stars were confirmed for the new limited series. “Great Expectations” Gets an All-Star Cast. 

FX and BBC are setting up “high expectations” for their upcoming adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic, “Great Expectations.” According to Variety, the two networks set the project’s starring cast this past week. The outlet reports, Olivia Colman, Fionn Whitehead, Ashley Thomas, Johnny Harris, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Hayley Squires, Owen McDonnell, Trystan Gravelle, and Matt Berry will star in the six-episode limited series. Lucy Forbes is set as the limited series’ lead director with Steven Knight set to write. Knight also previously penned the BBC and FX’s 2019 “A Christmas Carol” limited series. A casting director for “Great Expectations” has yet to be announced, but Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann were the team behind “A Christmas Carol,” so it’s possible the new project will see them reunite.
