Welcome to Rumorville! Here you can learn about casting news that’s about to break in Hollywood. These speculations might be only rumors, but that doesn’t mean you can’t follow the trail all the way to the audition room.

“Django/Zorro”
As Tarantino fans excitedly wait for the premiere of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” the famed director has eyed his next project, teaming up with a star on the rise. Comedian-writer Jerrod Carmichael has reportedly been tasked to co-write the film adaptation of “Django/Zarro,” Tarantino’s crossover comic released by DC Comics and Dynamite Entertainment. Right now, there are not many details on the project—sources are still unclear on whether Carmichael is co-writing the script with Tarantino and another writer, is working alone, or if Tarantino will even direct the film. The project has been rumored back as far as 2014 when emails discussing the possible adaptation were leaked during the infamous Sony hack, but it seems the project is now moving forward. If it does, expect regular Tarantino casting director Victoria Thomas to lead the way (and likely a return for Jamie Foxx as Django).

“Six”
Could another London smash hit musical soon be transferring across the pond? The recent fan favorite “Six,” which tells the story of King Henry VIII’s six ex-wives, is currently touring the U.S. but may land down on the Great White Way, according to the Chicago Tribune and producer Kevin McCollum. Like the currently-running “Be More Chill,” “Six” has the power to force a Broadway production thanks to its international fanbase. In the meantime, “Six” can be seen in Chicago, Illinois and next in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

“A Quiet Place 2”
We’re finally starting to hear some happenings about the upcoming sequel to 2018’s hit “A Quiet Place.” According to The Wrap, Brian Tyree Henry is in negotiations to join star Emily Blunt in the sequel, which will also be directed and written by John Krasinski. Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe will also star, all but Murphy returning to reprise their roles from the original. Henry most recently starred in “If Beale Street Could Talk” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse” and will next be seen in “Child’s Play.” Laura Rosenthal was the casting director on the first film and is likely also casting the sequel.
