The “I Am Legend” Sequel Casts Its Stars
It’s been 15 years, but the legend himself is back. According to Deadline, Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan are finally teaming up for a new “I Am Legend” sequel from Warner Bros. The pair will both star and produce the project, which will be written by Akiva Goldsman. Goldsman wrote the original 2007 movie, which was directed by Francis Lawrence. As of now, the sequel doesn’t have a director, and plot details are being kept under wraps. However, t’s safe to assume this sequel will be a major project for Warner Bros. Deadline reports, “Smith and Jordan’s movies combined have grossed a massive $12.3 billion worldwide.” Kathleen Chopin was the original film’s casting director, but one for the new film has yet to be announced.
