Prime Video is heating up its summer lineup with “Sterling Point,” a new YA coming-of-age drama, which debuts Aug. 5. Created by Megan Park (“My Old Ass”), the series stars Ella Rubin (“Anora”) as 17-year-old Annie Jacobson whose life gets turned upside down due to an unexpected inheritance.

The eight-episode series delves into themes of grief, identity, and dark family secrets buried in an isolated lake community. Along with Park, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (“Gossip Girl,” “The O.C.”) executive produce the show under their Fake Empire banner.

What is “Sterling Point” about?

“Sterling Point” follows 17-year-old Annie (Rubin) who lives a comfortable, New York life with her twin brother, Connor (Keen Ruffalo), and their single, adoptive father (Jay Duplass). However, everything changes overnight when they discover their estranged grandfather has died and left them a bizarre inheritance: a secluded island on a Canadian lake.

Trading the skyscrapers of New York City for the wilderness of Canada, Annie and Connor visit the island. What starts as a curious road trip quickly evolves into a heartfelt ensemble drama packed with messy family dynamics, grief, and more.
