Co-created by Seth Rogen, who stars in the series, Apple TV+’s “The Studio” premieres on March 26. Along with Rogen, the new comedy is stacked with stars rounding out the main cast, such as Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Chase Sui Wonders, and Ike Barinholtz.
Numerous A-list celebrities will also guest star, appearing as themselves, including Ron Howard, Olivia Wilde, Zoë Kravitz, and Martin Scorsese.
To convey the manic energy of a movie studio’s atmosphere, Rogen and his team opted to film each scene as one long tracking shot, refusing edits in exchange for an immersive experience that’ll hopefully help viewers become one with the chaos. As the fictional Continental Studios fights to stay afloat in a movie industry that values income over integrity, Matt Remick (Rogen), its newly appointed head, must work with his team to balance artistic creativity with corporate pressure. While the studio executives see every decision as a potential risk, Matt must appease their concerns and juggle demanding actors as he creates films that will hopefully bring the studio back from the brink of collapse.
