“True Detective” stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are bringing their legendary off-screen bromance to Apple TV, with the upcoming comedy series “Brothers.” Created by “The Office” producer Lee Eisenberg, the eight-episode series stars the Texas-born actors playing fictionalized versions of themselves as they confront a wild real-life rumor—that they might actually be long-lost half brothers. Triggered by Harrelson’s real-world revelation that his father once had a brief relationship with McConaughey’s mother, this self-aware comedy explores fame, family, and what happens when old secrets refuse to stay buried. “Brothers” premieres Sept. 23 on Apple TV with a two-episode debut, followed by weekly releases through Nov. 4.
