Fox is expanding its dating show lineup with “Marriage Market,” an unscripted series hosted by actor, comedian, and podcaster Whitney Cummings, who also co-created “Two Broke Girls.” “Marriage Market” puts an interesting twist on modern dating, asking singles to hand over control of who they should date to their families.

The network has officially ordered the show for the 2026–2027 broadcast season, which means casting opportunities are likely to arise in the near future. Interested in joining the new dating series? What is “Marriage Market” about?

“Marriage Market” centers on real singles who entrust their families with one of life’s biggest decisions: finding a life partner. In a unique, immersive matchmaking experience, families come together in a shared setting to meet, connect, and advocate for their loved ones.

When two families believe they’ve found the right match, the singles become engaged on the spot, with the goal of ultimately getting married. Then, the couples and their families move in together, navigating compatibility, clashing personalities, and high expectations in real time.

According to Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn, the series “gives all new meaning to ‘shotgun wedding,’ turning dating on its head with one of the most extreme marketplace spectacles you’ve ever seen. Watching families come together to make these matches is deeply relatable and wildly emotional, giving this distinctive concept all the ingredients of a signature Fox unscripted series.”

Who is involved with “Marriage Market”?

Alycia Rossiter (“Love Undercover,” “Match Game”) is the showrunner and will executive produce with John Carr (“Ballard”). Fox Entertainment is producing the series.
